Gameplay

Players choose a weapon and complete quests for "The Guild". There are several types of quests, some of these include gathering quests, hunting quests, and capturing quests. Completing specific quests will allow one to embark on their "Urgent Quest" which will allow progression to the next tier of quests, which applies to both offline and online play. Online players receive points and have a Hunter Rank which will increase once a certain number of points have been obtained. After several rank ups, and having a certain criteria of quests completed, a player will unlock their Urgent Quest. Players will need to gather materials to prepare for hunts which include herbs, mushrooms and seeds to make potions and various other consumables to give one the edge when fighting a formidable foe. Fighting a monster entails first finding the monster then dealing enough damage to either kill it, weaken it to be captured, or cause it to flee (not common, made specifically for certain quests). Players will need to learn the environments and the behaviors of the creatures. Many players will work together to try and take the monster or monsters down. Once the player slays a monster they will be able to carve off pieces which can be taken to the Wyverian Artisan (the blacksmith) to create new weapons and armor. Several other materials are used to make weapons and armor as well, including ores and bugs. A player can fail a quest several ways, the three most common being dying too many times (the standard quest allows 3 deaths total), running out of time (standard quest time is 50 min), or killing a monster when the quest goal was specifically to capture. Both online and offline players are given a house which they can decorate with various objects found throughout the game, although online players receive "upgraded" houses when they progress in rank. FlatOut is noted for its extensive use of physics in vehicle damage and collisions; dents on vehicles may vary based on the type of accident, object and angle of impact (falling objects, for example, will damage mostly the upper areas of a car), while many roadside items react better to collisions from other vehicles.

Ragdoll physics is also present in the game, with drivers capable of being tossed out of their car after high-impact crashes. If the player loses 8 lives in a single level, they will be given the option to allow Super Kong to take over and complete the level for them. Gameplay:

Sonic Colors sees players playing as Sonic the Hedgehog, using a similar moveset to that featured in Sonic Unleashed, with the addition of a double jump, as he traverses each planet to rescue the Wisps from Dr. Eggman. The Wii version of Sonic Colors uses a mixture of 2D and 3D perspectives, akin to the day stages from Unleashed, while the Nintendo DS version takes advantage of the dual screens of the handheld, similar to the Sonic Rush series. The Wii version can be played with the Wii Remote, Wii Remote and Nunchuck, Wii Classic Controller, and Nintendo GameCube Controller, while the DS version uses the button controls, with stylus control during Special Stages.

There are a total of 8 Wisps in the Wii version and 6 in the DS version; some Wisps are exclusive to each version.

The Wii version features a 'Sonic Simulator' mode in which players control 'Sonic-bots' through a series of challenges, either alone to earn Chaos Emeralds, or with competitive or co-operative multiplayer, with two Sonic-bots (or, once unlocked, a player's Mii) able to combine Wisp powers. These levels are accessed by collecting Special Rings hidden throughout each act. Collecting all the Chaos Emeralds allows Sonic to transform into Super Sonic after collecting 50 rings during any level (excluding bosses, Challenge Stages in the Egg Shuttle, and Game Land). It also features a Challenge mode in which players can play all levels continuously and upload their total score to online leaderboards. The DS version features Special Stages, similar to Sonic Rush, that require that players collect spheres of a specific color. Collecting all the emeralds in this version unlocks an extra stage exclusive to the DS version. The DS version also features Missions, Time Attack and competitive multiplayer modes, as well as various concept art unlocked by collecting Special Rings. Gameplay:

Battle system

Dragon Quest Swords utilizes an on rails first person Battle System. However, instead of using a handgun, Dragon Quest Swords uses the functions of the Wii Remote as a sword and a shield. The direction of a sword slash is dependent on the direction the player sways the Wii Remote. In order to defend from incoming attacks, the player has to use the Wii Remote to block enemy attacks.

A special attack, called a master stroke, can be used once the special attack gauge is filled. The gauge percentage increases by hitting enemies, hitting their projectiles back at them, or by blocking attacks. There are many master strokes, the distinct groups are: ice, fire, lightning, shadow, and general. Each group has a distinct colour. However, general strokes and buddy strokes look the same. A buddy stroke is a master stroke that can only be performed once that ally has gotten to a certain level, along with being with the hero. Master strokes are learned by tempering swords and getting new swords, while buddy strokes are obtained from the player's current partner.

Only the hero's allies (Anlace, Fleurette or Claymore) can cast magic and only one of them can accompany the hero at a time. The player can set how frequently they use magic or they can use magic manually by bringing up the menu.

Instead of random battles, monsters will always appear in the same order, in the same place.

This game has 8 medicinal items, along with 8 tempering materials, although there are also two special items. The tempering materials are required to upgrade the hero's swords.

Minigames

Dragon Quest Swords includes several minigames. They can be played alone, or with up to three friends. These are broken into two types of games that can be played at Stiletto's shop in town. One is a set of 3 dart games, in which the player uses the shield to catch darts, with different areas of the shield being worth different amounts of points. Gameplay:

The Wii version of the game contains all of the major elements of the DS version, but must be played on a single screen. To compensate, the Wii version has two adjustable in-game windows. Each window has a maximum size that is approximately 40% of the total screen which can make the text (on both the play and item windows) difficult to read. As a minor addition, the Wii version also contains a new trailer for the next Crystal Chronicles game entitled "The Crystal Bearers", and allows players to create masks based on their Miis which costs 5000 gil.

Basic Combat

The game still uses each tribes' combat system, mostly an overhead real-time hack-and-slash form of fighting; however, it added in a new weaponry system, in which all tribes may use a variety of weapons and have abilities which range from two to three types of weapons. New weapons have also been added (Sling-shot weapons, paddles). Armor and weaponry may now level up on their own through battling. Also, a new jewel system replaces the ability-equip system in the past game, where players may now add jewels to weapons with enough slots to add extra abilities. Jewels range from as simple as ATTACK-UP to more complex forms that even allow the player to break the usual level cap for the equipment piece.

Magic

The Magic system was revamped. While still retaining its key components (target rings, elemental casting), it now consumes MP rather than gathering magicites. The slots system has been eliminated completely, however such items as ethers and potions do appear in the game to be used on-the-spot. Fusion spells are now simpler to perform, as certain spells (Gravity, quake) do not require so many complex and tedious combinations. They have become as simple as "Blizzard" and "Raise" for Gravity, "Fire" and "Raise" for Quake. In addition, rings will now lock onto an enemy, removing the threat of missing a hard to cast spell and wasting valuable MP. The game is a mascot kart racing game, very similar to other games in its genre like Mario Kart, Konami Krazy Racers and Crash Team Racing. Characters race through various race circuits themed on different Sega franchises and collect power-ups to boost their speed or hamper their opponents. The items have a rock-paper-scissors effect, in which certain items can be used to defend against others. Also, on occasions when players get three of one item, they can choose to fire/activate them at the same time. Additional boost can be earned by successfully executing drifts (with longer drifts earning more boost), or performing tricks while in midair. Like Sumo's previous Sega game, Sega Superstars Tennis, each character has a special ability (called an "All-Star Move") unique to them that they may use to their advantage (such as Sonic transforming into Super Sonic and AiAi riding in his monkey ball), which they can obtain if they are running behind in the race. Gameplay:

While New Super Mario Bros. Wii is seen in 2D, some of the characters and objects are 3D polygonal renderings on 2D backgrounds, resulting in a 2.5D effect (also seen in New Super Mario Bros.) that visually simulates 3D computer graphics. Players can play as either Mario, his brother Luigi, or two Toad characters: one blue and one yellow (with the first player always as Mario). Controls are similar to those of New Super Mario Bros., albeit with the added abilities of spinning in mid-air by shaking the Wii Remote, and picking up, carrying, and throwing other players. In multiplayer mode, players can play up to four players simultaneously. If a player character loses a life and has at least one life, he will re-emerge encased inside a bubble, and can resume play once another player frees him by touching the bubble (the player can shake the Wii Remote to move his bubble closer to an active player, but cannot free himself). In multiplayer mode, if one or more players do not keep up with the one in the lead, on some levels, the view will pan out a bit so that the player[s] in the rear will still be in view. If the players still do not catch up, they are then dragged by the edge of the screen, until they move forward faster or lose a life by a fall or other object. If one player enters a pipe, climbs a vine, grabs the flagpole at the end of the course, etc. without the others, the other players will warp to the same place after a short time, or have a short time to grab the pole before the course ends. Gameplay:

During the standard game, four different characters compete on one of six themed boards. When playing with fewer than four people, players select which characters the computer will control, as well as their difficulty level and handicap. Players can also select from five different areas to play on from the Play Choices screen by selecting the Select File screen in the beginning. Here, the player is given the choices of five different areas to play on: Party Tent, Star Battle Arena, Minigame Tent, Extras Zone, and the Fun Bazaar. The Party Tent allows for characters to compete on boards in three kinds of battles: four characters compete in a Battle Royal (one to four players). They separate into two teams (one to four players) in a Tag Battle. Two characters face off (one or two players) in a Duel Battle. In the Star Battle arena mode, one player faces off against one opponent on each board in which when you get to the last board, Bowser will take the star from you and you will face against Hammer Bro or Blooper in Bowser's warped orbit, then once you defeat the character, Bowser will give you back the Star Rod and you will face in a final mini-game called Superstar Showdown. When you win the battle you win the game. In the minigame tent, players can play several non-board challenges from the minigames. The extras zone has the eight extra minigames that don't appear in board-play with you Miis. Finally, The Fun Bazaar has the player use their carnival cards to unlock minigames and other surprises. Double Dash‼'s gameplay is slightly different from other Mario Kart games. Instead of having one player per kart, there are two: one to drive, and one to use items. Gameplay:

The main gameplay feature of Resident Evil Zero, dubbed the "partner zapping" system, is unique in the series in that instead of choosing a single character to play through the whole game, the player controls both the main characters, Rebecca Chambers, STARS Bravo team's medic, from Resident Evil and Billy Coen, an escaped ex-military convict, through the entire game. Both characters can travel together, with one character being controlled by the player and other by the computer, or split up and search separate areas each at the same time. This dual control is central to solving some of the puzzles in the game. The difference between the characters is that Rebecca can acquire chemicals with her mixing kit and can get into tight spaces, but has less health. In contrast, Billy can handle heavy objects, has a lighter and can sustain more damage than Rebecca, but cannot mix herbs.

The game also does away with the use of boxes placed in fixed locations for the player to store items in. Instead, the player can now drop items on the floor to make room for new ones, which they can later retrieve for future use. The locations of dropped items are displayed on the player's map. Magic in Crystal Chronicles comes in the form of "magicite" (a term first used in Final Fantasy VI and later used in Final Fantasy XII and other titles set in the world of Ivalice (as part of the Ivalice Alliance)) and encompasses only a few basic offensive and defensive spells, with the majority of the spells in the game accessible by combining two or more basic spells. This is done differently in single- and multi-player modes: in single-player, the magicite is combined in the command menu in a process called "fusion", while in multiplayer, players must charge and cast individual spells in the same place with a certain timing in a process called "stacking". Most of gameplay in Skies of Arcadia takes place in dungeons. Controlling the protagonist, Vyse, from a third-person view, players must traverse and defeat these dungeons in order to advance the storyline. Dungeons comprise of a network of pathways with treasure chests, puzzles, and ubiquitous monsters. Completing the dungeons is usually a matter of exploring each of the possible pathways presented to the player until the correct one is found. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is a collection of twenty-four events based on the Olympic Games. On the Wii, the events consist of using the motion sensor capabilities of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk attachment to control the actions of the on-screen character. Each playable character has his or her own statistics which can serve as an advantage or disadvantage depending on the event. Question: What exactly are the Torrent download steps?

You use special torrent search engines to find .torrent text files around the Net. A .torrent text file functions as a special pointer to locate a specific file and the swarm of people currently sharing that file. These .torrent files vary from 15kb to 150kb file size, and are published by serious Torrent sharers around the world.

You download the desired .torrent file to your drive (this takes about 5 seconds per .torrent file at cable modem speeds).

You open the .torrent file into your torrent software. Usually, this is as simple as a a double-click on the .torrent file icon, and the client software auto-launches. In other cases, this software will even open the torrent file for you.

The torrent client software will now talk to a tracker server for 2 to 10 minutes, while it scours the Internet for people to swarm with. Specifically, the client and tracker server will search for other users who have the same exact .torrent file as you.

As the tracker locates torrent users to swarm with, each user will be automatically labeled as either a “leech/peer” or as a “seed” (users who have only part of the target file, versus users who have the complete target file). As you might guess, the more seeds you connect to, the faster your download will be. Commonly, 10 peers/leeches and 3 seeders is a good swarm for downloading a single song/movie.

The client software then begins the transfer. As the name “sharing” implies, every transfer will happen in both directions, “down” and “up” (leech and share).

*SPEED EXPECTATION: Cable and DSL modem users can expect an average of 25 megabytes per hour, sometimes slower if the swarm is small with less than 2 seeders. On a good day with a big swarm, however, you can download a 5MB song within 3 minutes, and a 900MB movie within 60 minutes.

Once the transfer is complete, leave your torrent client software running for at least two hours. This is called "seeding" or "good karma", where you share your complete files to other users.

Suggestion: do your downloads just before you go to sleep at night. This way, you will seed your complete files, you will increase your upload/download ratio, and you will have complete downloaded files by the time you wake up!
